The modeling and identification of the damper property by using SAP2000 analysis software from an experimental data set generated by dynamic tests of the MR damper mounted in a testing machine where velocity and current are used as input, and the force as output. This paper considers the application of magnetorheological (MR) damper, RD-8040-1, for attenuation vibration in flexible truss bridge deck structures.
